GOD IS GOOD TO ME
1 Samuel 1:1-7; 2:1
Many times we wonder whether God is indeed good! Or that He is good to us! He has been good to my neighbour. What about me? When will my own come? This is the heart cry of some of us. God will have us tell you that your season is now. You have not reached the concluding paragraph of your life’s story. Where you are going is still far and by far better than where you are now. Remember Hannah?
And as he did so year by year, when she went up to the house of the Lord, so she provoked her, therefore she wept, and did not eat.
If this is the end of the story. Hannah would not have written the song in 1 Samuel 2. She said “my heart rejoiced in the Lord. My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies”. Why did she sing? In chapter 1:20, “it came to pass that Hannnah conceived, that she bare a son” (vs 20). In the beginning of the story, Hannah would have wondered, is God really good? But now she could sing loud and clear: GOD IS GOOD TO ME!
You will soon praise God for that circumstance. When it appears that God is quiet or that He seems far away, please know that He is working out things for you. At the end, you will sing that He is good indeed. Your story will end up with testimony. You will sing about His goodness in your life. That you are going through stuff now doesn’t mean God is not there. It is because he wants to burst out in your life in a big way and that your story will be sweet. What you carry is uncommon. By the time you deliver, you shall shout to all and sundry: GOD IS GOOD TO ME.
On this note, we welcome you to October. Because God is good to this household, He will be good to you. You are a member of the family as well as others who enjoy his goodness perpetually. Wherever your good is, you won’t miss it in Jesus name. God will hold your hands and you will not go astray. You will not miss your good.
