REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE ENEMIES
Psalm 27:1-14
If you carefully read that Psalm again, you will discover that the word enemies was repeated four times. It shows the reality of enemies in everyday life. If you are succeeding, there are enemies. If you are failing, they are also there.
When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. . . And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the Lord. . . Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies . . . Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty. Psalm 27:2,6,11&12
One thing you should remember is that you have enemies. Your number one enemy is the devil. The bible says that the devil is like a roaring lion who goes about looking for who to devour, (1 Peter 5:8). You must beware of him. Resist him with all the arsenal listed in Ephesians chapter six. Live right. Do not allow the devil to gain a foothold in your life. If you give the devil an inch, he takes a mile. You give him a foothold, he turns it into a stronghold. Ensure that your life is a no go area for the devil.
You also have human enemies. Some hate you with reason. Some hate you without cause. They will join forces with and be used of the devil to fight you. Don’t leave your life to chance. Do not be careless. Be prayerful. We are not teaching you enemy consciousness. But a child of God should know that there are enemies out there who are not happy because you are happy. Dealing with them is however simple. Let your ways please the Lord and he will force your enemies to be at peace with you (Proverbs 16:7. Dwell in the secret place of the Most High where you will be hidden from all their arrows and attacks.
Beloved, remember also that greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. Keep this in view always and you will triumph over all your enemies.
