MORE THAN YOU LOST
1 Samuel 30:1-20
All things work together for the good of those who love God. This is the word of God. At the beginning of this passage, the story was not palatable. David’s camp had been raided by the Amalekites. All the women and children including their property had been carted away to an unknown destination. The camp was set on fire. Destruction was all they found on their return from battle. It was a devastating experience. Imagine battle weary men returning home to find that all had been lost. They knew not what to do. All they could do was wail and mourn their loss. But then some people thought of stoning David, their leader!
At the end of the story however, we see David and his men triumphantly return with all that was lost and many more. They pursued. They overcame. They recovered all. They had more. The story ended well. By the spirit of the Lord, this also shall be your season. God is stepping in. All shall end well with you. Your story shall have a beautiful ending. Whatever you go through now is not your destination. It is just a bend; it is not the end. It is just a bus stop and not your destination. Better days still lie ahead.
Have you lost something this year or in the past? An opportunity? A business deal or outright financial or material loss? Relax. You shall recover all. The Lord shall intervene in your situation. By the time your blessing comes back to you it shall be in multiples. It is by God’s mercy that you did not lose all. He shall bless you more than what you lost or even more than bargained for. All that David and his men would have hoped for would be to recover just what they lost. But God did more.
Whatever your expectations are, God will surpass it. In case you are going through a terrible situation, you shall yet smile again and celebrate. Is it a project ahead? God will do it. This is your season. He will bring it to pass. You shall not miss out.
MEDITATION: Ephesians 3:20
