ABRAHAM: GOD CAN DO THE IMPOSSIBLE
Genesis 18: 9-15; 21:1-7
When Abraham was 75, God promised that he would make him the father of a great nation. Yet he remained childless for many years. The angel of the Lord appeared to him at the age of 99 and told him that his wife Sarah would give birth to a son. Abraham and Sarah found that hard to believe.
Nevertheless, Isaac, the son of promise was born twenty five years later when Abraham was 100 years and his wife Sarah 95 years.
Ishmael, the child that Abraham had through Hagar, Sarah’s maid was declared to be part of the “side show” and never the main event. “It is through Isaac that your offspring will be reckoned” (Gen 21:12)
What is that miracle you have been waiting for? Be encouraged, have faith in God, He can do the impossible. He will take away your reproach and you will laugh like Sarah. Testimonies around us indicate that God is doing the impossible for people like you and me on daily basis. You can become a beneficiary of God’s mercy. The God of Abraham will visit you and you shall rejoice.
MEDITATION: Jeremiah 32:27 “Behold, I am the Lord the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me?”
