ABRAHAM: JOURNEY OF FAITH
Genesis 12:1-4
Life is individualistic and every man must run his own race. For Abraham, life’s race involved a journey into the unknown, a journey of faith.
“Get out of your country from your father’s house to a land that I will show you”
Like Abraham, God could be nudging you to step out of your comfort zone to venture into something new. Do not ignore that nudging because your destiny and your greatness lie in your obedience.
Although God asked Abraham to leave his family and home country, He did not provide him with detailed information of what the journey was going to look like. He did not even tell Abraham where the final destination was, but He promised him a certain glory ahead.
“I will make you a great nation, I will bless you and make your name great”
In case God is asking you to walk the same road as Abraham, do not be afraid to step out in faith- there is a glory ahead for you.
Your own journey of faith could involve your career, ministry or any other area of your life. Go with faith and commitment to obedience. Go with the consciousness of God’s unlimited power and the assurance of His love for you.
MEDITATION: Heb 11:8 “ By faith, Abraham when he was called to go to a place he would later receive as his inheritance, obeyed and went, even though he did not know where he was going”
