ABRAHAM: NOTHING IS TOO HARD FOR THE LORD
GENESIS 17: 1-4; 21: 1-2
God promised to make Abraham the father of many nations, yet his wife was barren. God re-affirmed His promise to Abraham many years later by which time he was already ninety-nine, his wife Sarah eighty-nine and long past menopause. When God appeared to him this time, he thought in his heart that it was too late-Sarah could no longer have a child. He did not know that his miracle was just around the corner. One year later, they gave birth to Isaac, the son of promise.
Waiting for the fulfillment of God’s promise could be tedious sometimes. There could be moments of doubt and anxiety, but be encouraged my brother/sister. Father Abraham and many others travelled this same road before now, so you are not alone. Do not give up because nothing is too hard for God. Just hold on to God’s word, do not doubt His love, and you will surely experience the fulfillment of His promises in Jesus’ name.
PRAYER: Dear Lord, thank you for your unfailing love and sure promises to me. I trust you, I believe you. Let your words and promises to me be fulfilled in Jesus’ name.
