ABRAHAMIC COVENANT OF WEALTH
Genesis 13:2, GALATIANS 3:26-29
Abraham was a shepherd and prosperous livestock farmer, but he was also rich in silver and gold. Going by today’s standard, Abraham would be considered a very wealthy and successful man. Wealth was an integral part of God’s covenant to Abraham.
You can also choose to connect to the Abrahamic covenant wealth if you choose to do so because you are Abraham’s seed. Galatian3:29 “If you belong to Christ then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to the promise”. If you are a member of the Agape family, you will recall that we have a seven-fold covenant of which the covenant of wealth is one.
You have to pattern your life in the reality that wealth is your inheritance by God. This means you must:
– Create avenues for the wealth to roll in through honest work
– Acquire skills that will make you excel in the work or business you are engaged in
– Expect God to favour you and bless your work
– Do not depend on salary work alone because no salary work can make you wealthy
MEDITATION: Deuteronomy 8:18 “And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth, that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers as it is this day”
