1 CORINTHIANS 2:12, 16
The Holy Spirit lives inside every believer to help them in the process of renewing their minds. Having the mind of Christ within us refers to the ongoing process of the Holy Spirit revealing the thoughts and plans of God to our hearts and minds. Jesus taught that the Holy Spirit would be our Helper. One of the primary ways He helps us is in revealing the mind or thinking of Christ to us.
Each believer can rely on the inner presence of the Holy Spirit to guide them. He lives inside us to tell us what Jesus and the Father want us to know
TOOLS FOR DEVELOPING THE MIND OF CHRIST.
- .Feeding on the Word
By far, the most important tool we have to renew our minds is the Word of God. The Bible is filled with God’s thoughts and ways (Isaiah 55:8-11). It has the power to heal our toxic thinking and deliver our minds from destructive patterns of believing and feeling.
- The Teaching of the Local Church
God designed us to gather with other believers regularly in local churches so we could be taught the word of God. The bible says”Remember your leaders who taught you the word of God. Think of all the good that has come from their lives, and follow the example of their faith” (Hebrews 13:7
- Personal Bible Reading and Group Study
Every believer is expected to study the Bible. You can do this using the bible itself as text or add good biblical teaching materials. Often believers help one another to grow by learning from the insights that others are receiving from God’s Word.
- Memorizing Scripture
One of the most powerful ways to feed on God’s Word is to spend time committing helpful Bible verses to memory. Take note of Psalm 119:11, 15-16, 93, 97, 111, 176 NLT).
- Bible Teaching Materials, Conferences, and Media
Look for books, e-books, podcasts, digital downloads, videos, and other media that focus on Bible teaching by reputable ministers who support learning.
