BE ESTABLISHED

The word establishment means different things to different people.  It depends on who is defining it and in what context. It may refer to an organization, large institution or household.  It may mean a group in a society exercising power and influence over matters of policy, opinion or taste. The same word can also refer to the process of building a vision or project to an acceptable standard.  Thus, it may be said that Mr. A has nurtured his business to the level of competing with the established others.  In other words, the business is now part of the establishment that must be reckoned with.  It is this latter definition that we are concerned with.  How do you travel from the realm of conception to actualization, development and then to establishment?

Reaching the establishment stage involves a number of rules. Rule Number one is to ensure the vision is well shaped.  Put it to the test.  As Habakkuk charges us:

I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:1-3

The vision must be clear to you.  You must define your destination even if you can’t itemize the stages in the journey, where you are going must be well articulated.

Secondly, you must be the first runner of the vision. Nobody can be more enthusiastic and committed to your vision than you.  It takes your motivation and diligent pursuit of your vision for others to buy in to the project.  Be disciplined and focused.  Work with and challenge others to run the vision with you. The final rule is to keep trusting God. Let God be involved.  It is the Lord’s presence and guidance that make the difference.  Work with him.  Trust Him.  Obey his principles. Let the project or venture be relevant to your local church as a corporate member. Very soon, it shall be established. You may have to go through tough times. Yes.  But they won’t last.

MEDITATION: But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen (and) settle you. 1Peter 5:10
