CONTENDING FOR FAITH  – 1

Jude 1:3

Life is all about Faith. Everything God made, He spoke to be, by faith. God is faith personified. Do you know that, if your faith says Yes, God won’t say No? From cradle to grave, God has designed life to be lived by faith for all. The just shall live by faith (Hebrews 10:38), so says the scripture. It is amazing that, some believers tend to believe they can live by something else. Check the great philosophers and their ideologies about life and put them side by side with the word of God. Which of them will last the most?

We are to be strong in faith and stand for same, come rain, come sunshine. This is called contending for faith which was delivered to the saints that started the Christian race. Technological advancement or not, the word of God is superior to anything man-made. The devil has never been after any believer because of their personal belongings…NO! It is all about their faith and trust in what God says and what He can do! He did that with Job and failed. He did that to Jesus too and also failed. If anything in your life is on attack by the enemy, it is not about those things but about your focus which is Jesus Christ.

Distractions will come in a variety of ways just like it came to Jesus in the book of Matthew 4. The devil hasn’t changed his tactics from Genesis till date. He’ll propose a tinted view of God to man and would expect him to fall for the same. The first Adam fell for his gimmicks and ate the fruit. The last Adam (Jesus) told him, thou shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. Food can make and it can mar if not put in its rightful place. The easiest way for the devil to hit any Christian is by what he/she likes to eat.  Faith is not about sight but of insight! We live by faith and not by sight.

Your faith in God and His word is worth contending for. You need to push with all you have to maintain this and extend the same to friends and loved ones.

MEDITATION: I will live by Faith and not by Sight!
