CONTENDING FOR FAITH – 2 …(PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT)
Jude 1:20-21
Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 that, “I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. It is essential to note that, what we build matters. The structure we build in life (in our inner being) will determine whether we will last or not. The text of today points us to building our most holy faith…praying in the Spirit. If you are physically robust and your spirit is lean, your destiny will ultimately suffer spiritual malnutrition. This means symptoms like spiritual wasting, underweight, stunting and deficiencies in spiritual vitamins will be seen in our lives.
You should not be that kind of Christian that would be tossed back and forth by the devil’s gimmicks and stunts. The only escape route in life is hinged on faith. No faith, no successful living. Do you want to maximize what God has prepared for your destiny? It can only work if you hinge your principles on His word.
The proof has been found of believers who practice waiting on the Lord and praying in the Spirit to be exceptional in what they do. Christianity is practical. Can you engage in praying in the spirit with an average of One hour daily? Or start with at least five minutes? You will find out, you are unconsciously creating an enabling environment for the Spirit of God to take over your endeavors for maximum output.
The more you pray in the spirit, the more of the spirit content in your words become.
No one will turn your words down after some time as you will find yourself speaking exactly what God is saying. As you behold yourself as in a glass…so shall you find yourself becoming more of the image of God you see…in the place of prayer. (2 Corinthians 3:18). This is your chance to grow your faith and live. Take it up and you’ll be happy you did.
