GETTING IT RIGHT WITH GOD
Isaiah 37:30-35
And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall again take root downward, and bear fruit upward. Isaiah 37:31
In life, the place you give to God matters. This is because the place you give to God in your life determines the place you find in life. The place you give to God determines the place God gives to you. James 4:8 says, “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” When you draw nearer to God, He will draw nearer to you.
One reason why it is very important to draw nearer to God is that He is the Way. John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me’”. The truth is, you cannot follow the Way and miss the road in life. Therefore, to get it right with God is to get it right in life.
So instead of asking God, “Lord, why are things not working around me?” the right question to ask is, “Lord, is my relationship with you working? Is my prayer life working? Am I doing what I am meant to do with you?” This is very important because until you get it right with God, you cannot get it right in life. Ensure that your spirituality is intact. You need to make right relationship with God your priority. Make up your mind to maintain a vibrant and buoyant spiritual life and every other thing would fall into place.
PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace and discipline to build capacity at the place of prayer. Help me to get it right with You so I can get it right in life in Jesus name.
