GOVERNED BY LAWS
Genesis 8:20-22
The universe is governed by laws. We are not talking of any nation’s bundle of regulations and/or constitution or even code of ethics. We are talking of irrevocable principles that God has ordained that life should be governed with. In our text for instance, God spoke about the Law of sowing and reaping. This particular law is simple and operateable by all and sundry. There is no ambiguity with it. What you sow is what you will harvest. Everyday is sowing time for the future. In the same vein, today is also the time for the harvest of the sowings of the past. As it is applicable to agriculture, so it is with every aspect of life. It doesn’t bow to your religious beliefs either. Whether you are a Christian or an atheist, if you plant cocoyam, you can’t reap cassava. This should open our eyes to what to sow in everyday life. As the Word says:
Be not deceived, God is not mocked, for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. Galatians 6:7-8
We also have the Law of gravity: what goes up must of necessity come down. There are many like laws that operate in life and destiny, that, if one will master, can affect one’s life positively. We are led to showcase some of the laws that we have encountered these past few decades of life and ministry. We have utilised them for our profiting and we believe you too can be a partaker. In the next few days, we will be looking at these laws. They are a collection of wise thoughts that God has taught us over the years. He taught us by himself and also used men and women around us to teach us.
We believe that each topic will open your eyes to profound truths that will revolutionize your thinking and subsequently, your life. As you read, our prayer is that the Holy Spirit shall illuminate your mind to the truth of God’s word as embedded in this series. Each topic is unique in its own way. Read. Pause. Meditate. Digest. Act. If you do these, you are on your way to a winning life. We look forward to reading or hearing your testimonies.
