HOSPITALITY AND SUPPORT … (CARE FOR TRAVELING MISSIONARIES)
The church of Christ is centered on love and care for others. Jesus came into the world to die for sinners so we can be reconciled back to God. This was an action of God’s love for man. The work of God on earth shall yet be spread abroad through prosperity. It’s our responsibility to make this work. Some were called to fulfill this purpose [Missionaries]. They put their lives on the line to reach out to places where the gospel of our Lord Jesus hasn’t reached.
All believers are given the mandate of evangelism. Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to all creatures, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This will require some commitments from us financially, spiritually, physically and materially. We all need encouragement in one way or the other on the work of the Lord. The goal is not about personality but about Christ and His plan for humanity to be reconciled back to God.
The Scripture of today emphasizes the need to support the work of God…especially for traveling missionaries. You can become a covenant partner by giving to this in your local church. We believe in mission’s work in this ministry and have planted several churches across the nation and the world at large. Join the team of support givers in the ministry and watch how God will expand and increase His blessings in your life.
This support can come in cash or kind or both. The Lord loves a cheerful giver. We have witnessed those who gave from time to time that, they never lacked. We cannot out-give God. We can obey His commandment as stated in the book of Luke 6:38…i.e. . . .”Give and it shall be given to you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
You can join the Evangelism and Follow-up department in your local church. You can spare time to teach in the believer’s class of maturity to raise young believers in the faith after their salvation experience. The core of our blessings emanates from doing what touches God’s heart and you can be certain that, evangelism is one of those things.
As you go out today make sure you win at least a soul for the Lord. [Talk to someone about Christ i.e. salvation of their soul].
MEDITATION: Reaching out to the lost souls of the world around me will make God happy and also gives me the satisfaction that, I’m making God happy. It’s certain I will reap the reward both here on earth and in heaven.
