LIFE IS ABOUT PROCESS
Mark 4:26-29
Life is governed by the principle of process. Everything in life from conception to actualization requires process. Process is a noun as well as a verb. As a noun, process can be described as “a series of actions or steps taken in order to achieve a particular end”. It is like a ladder or staircase. It takes you from the ground floor to the next or the roof. If you take the steps, you will arrive where you ought to. Only a mad man will see a ladder and yet want to jump to the next floor. The journey to the top is a journey of process. It is one step at a time with God holding your hand. Our God is a God of process. He does not throw up but lifts up. He made process and respects it. Learn from the planted seed in our text. It doesn’t produce fruit the day it was planted. There is a process from planting to germination to fruiting and harvest.
It does not matter what you are aiming at in life: Whatever it may be, there must be a process. For instance, to become a graduate of any tertiary institution, there is a process. You cannot skip primary school and start your education from secondary school. The due process is primary school first, then secondary before the university or other tertiary institutions. If you jump the process, you may short-circuit your education. Even in spiritual warfare, there is a process. God has the power to enable you defeat all enemies at once. But he knows you have to build your strength and capacity for fighting before he can give you victory. Victory management is more important than winning the battle. Take a look at this.
And the LORD thy God will put out those nations before thee by little and little. Thou mayest not consume them at once lest the beast of the field increase upon you. Deuteronomy. 7:22
Can you see that? God would not deliver the land to them suddenly. Sudden Victory will create sudden problems. The beasts of the land would increase and overcome them and the purpose of the wicked would be served. The law of process respects the word “gradually”. In your pursuits in life and destiny, respect process, it takes a process between birth and walking. Whatever you are aiming at, find out the God-ordained process. Follow it and get to your destination successfully and triumphantly. Learn the ropes. Respect “gradually” and you will get there.
