OUTWARD APPEARANCES CAN DECEIVE

Genesis 13:7-12

The servants of Abraham and Lot had begun to argue over whose flocks should have the small amount of grass that was available. To solve the problem, Abraham asked Lot to choose an area for himself while he would take what was left. The bible tells us that Lot “Lot saw all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered everywhere and chose the area pitching his tent towards Sodom. Going by human calculations, he chose the best place but he did not know that he chose to settle in a place doomed for destruction.

Outward appearances can deceive so learn to discuss critical issues of your life with God before taking decisions. A lot of times, people take life-changing decisions without any discussion with God, and they later discover that they made grievous mistakes.

Open your eyes and see well before you decide who to marry. Let God, whose eyes see farther than yours, guide your heart to choose right. There is nothing wrong in relocating to another country, but you need to discuss it with God first. Same thing goes for all other major decisions of your life. Outward appearances can deceive.
