PREPARE FOR LIFE’S HARD QUESTIONS.

Colossians 4: -14

“Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man”. Colossian 1:6

Life is full of questions.  Every man must prepare himself for good and acceptable answers.  Some questions are asked by yourself and you must provide answers or else, you find things unpalatable.  In Genesis 30:30, Jacob asked Laban one of life’s most crucial questions: “…..and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?

He had laboured for Laban all his waiting years.  Up to that point, he had nothing to show for life except a retinue of two wives, two concubines and about a dozen children.  He was growing old without anything to point at as his achievement.  Then one day he reflected on his life and concluded that if things continued as they were, he would end up with nothing.

Many live like Jacob even now – just waking up and sleeping; living from hand to mouth without any preparation to answer certain questions.  Very soon life will ask you question like “what did you do with your youth?  Your children will ask you why you cannot afford to give them the basic necessities of life.  When you meet with your old school mates years after you left school, one of the first questions is “where are you now?” And it is a very loaded question.  If you have not prepared well, your answer may be very hesitant and evasive.

Precious child of God, live your life in preparation to have answers to the questions of life.  Start from now whatever your age and status.  Season your life and action with salt so that question of life will not catch you unawares.  Don’t laze away your life.  Invest in your destiny.  Invest prayers, finances, talents and diligence in making your future a future of great answers.  A life without answers will end up in shame.  May that not be your portion in Jesus name.  Get up and get going now and great shall be your destiny in Jesus mighty name.

PRAYER:  Help me O Lord to prepare myself to be who you want me to be in life and destiny.  My destiny shall not be wasted in Jesus name.
