REJOICE EVER MORE
Philippians 4:1-7
“Rejoice in the LORD always: and again I say, Rejoice” Philippians 4:7.
Rejoice! This is not an advice. It is a command. God expects believers to rejoice at all times and in every situation. We are to serve the Lord with gladness. God is happy when you are happy. He delights in your delight. Throughout the scriptures, God’s dealings with His people had always been on the platform of joy. In Leviticus n23:40, the command is that Israel should “rejoice before the Lord your God”. This command was repeated three times in Deuteronomy 12:7, 12,18 and chapter 16:11. In the presence of God, there is fullness of joy.
Joy is your portion. God does not just command joy. He gives it. In the last eleven months, it is a given that God has blessed you and you have uncountable reasons to rejoice. This last month is but a few days gone. Yet God can still visit you in a special way to make you experience joy in a greater dimension. Great things shall happen that will give you joy. Your rejoicing shall be spontaneous and shall be continuous. Your joy shall not be dependent only on physical things or circumstances. Rather, as the scripture says, out of your belly, your innermost being, shall spring forth rivers of living water. In your life, there shall be no room for sorrow. You shall not mourn. There shall be no affliction. By December 31, mark it, your portion will be as stated below:
And the ransomed of LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their lands: They shall obtain joy and gladness and sorrow and sighing shall flee away. Isaiah 35:10
You shall not be compelled to rejoice. There shall be enough reasons to celebrate. Rejoice! I say again, rejoice.
PRAYER: I am the ransomed of the Lord. I shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon my head: I shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away 35:10.
