THE LAW OF CONSISTENCY

Hebrews 13:1-8

Consistency as defined by the Oxford dictionary refers to the nature of a thing being steady, stable, regular, uniform etc. This is the very nature of God that is seen in all that He’s created. It affords the effrontery of absolute dependence on Him for living.  Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Hebrews 13:8

God is the same yesterday, today and forever as stated in the scripture above. God’s desire is that every of His child would take up this nature of His to enhance the world around them while fulfilling their purposes on earth.  Dependency becomes easy when consistency becomes the order of the day. Consistent and continual followership of Christ would someday give birth to encounters that would last a life time. Consistency demands sacrifices of time, energy and money; it demands lots of focus.

Do you have a record of consistency in serving the Lord? When the book of remembrance is opened, what would be written therein about you? It was said of Abraham that, God knows him that, he will command his children after God.

Consistent teaching, training and mentoring is a key factor to kingdom-life improvement and advancement. Scriptures like men ought always to pray and not faint,… breaking bread daily from house to house, … praying without season, …this book of the law shall not depart from your mouth, but thou shall meditate therein day and night that thou mayest observe to do as it is written therein… are samples of scriptures pointing to consistency nature as required by God from us. You can’t serve a consistent God and be inconsistent in your ways. You are bound to reflect the influence of what and who you are exposed to over time. [2 Cor. 3:18].

Let consistency become a value you upheld and you will find both heaven and earth celebrate that virtue in you. Keep company with people that are consistent with their values and ways of live. You look like the company you keep. [Evil communication…corrupts good manners. 1 Cor. 15:33]

Above all, love God and be consistent in obeying His word and directives as guided by the Holy Spirit if you must attain great heights of success in life.

REFLECTION: No consistency, no Future!
