THE WICKED FLEES

Proverbs 28:1- 10

AS dramatic as this story from the pages of a Christian literature appears to be, it bears all the marks of credibility. A born again Christian who later became the General Overseer of a leading bible believing church in Nigeria, travelled overseas on a personal trip. In that part of the country where he was accommodated for the period of his stay, he discovered there was no church he could attend. As he could not restrain the urge to fellowship with other brethren, he decided to look for a place of worship. After a long and fruitless effort, he sighted a building where some men and women were singing in solemn voices. He was overjoyed at the sight and decided to join the congregation. As he got near the door of the building, a strange drama began unfolding. The congregants took to their heels. Some jumped through the windows while others frantically made for the exit doors.

The man was thoroughly embarrassed. He looked himself over and wondered why he was such a spectacle of embarrassment. He began to retrace his steps and then as he turned back towards where he came, he saw the name of the church, an inscription in golden capital letters-“THE CHURCH OF SATAN”

Then he realized what must have happened. The glorious anointing upon him was irresistible to the self-confessed Satanists. They had no option but to flee.  The enemy knows who he can torment.  When a child of God is righteous, prayerful and word filled, the presence of the Lord shall be with him. And the presence will repel evil forces from manifesting around or against him. This why you must not live a life of compromise. Stay with God. Wait upon Him. Do his bidding. His presence in your life is a sure guarantee of safety, provision and guidance. When He is with you, the enemy becomes helpless and can’t do you any evil.

This season, all your enemies will disappear at your appearance! The wicked and everything that represents the wicked shall flee away from you.

PRAYER: Lord lead me in paths of righteousness. Let not my enemies triumph over me.
