1 John 1:5 – 10
God is light and Father of lights. The passage of today emphasize this in a special way. Other passages in the scriptures equally confirm this truth. All good and perfect gifts come from above i.e. God in whom there is no variableness nor shadow of turning. {James 1:17} Also in the book of Matthew chapter 5:14…Jesus referred to us as the light of the world…a city set on a hill that cannot be hidden. It is important to note that, there is no short-cut to having better success in life and destiny except by walking in the light. i.e. walking in His ways by living a life of obedience and holiness.
Nothing in this world can survive without light. God orchestrated this from the beginning. To maximize the usefulness of an invention, it is expedient to consult the inventor or the manual written by the inventor. Don’t join the band wagon of people that run life without the involvement of God nor running their decision-making process by the Holy Spirit. The relationship with the Father is to guarantee your perfect directions in this world. Reading the word of God and obeying what He says to you is the surest way to achieving sweat less victory in all your endeavors.
Concentrating on life and giving it full attention is good but, alone, it will still not deliver to you optimum results as ordained by your maker. Why not commit your ways and heart to the Lord asking Him for guidance on a daily basis. Stop the struggle and obey Him. You will achieve outstanding results as you grow towards maturity in the things of the kingdom.
Take a conscious effort to follow His dictates and you will soon find yourself dictating how life should treat you. His word is Yea and Amen. It’s the surest word you can trust. Don’t forget all we see in the world today was created by the word of the Lord. Let wisdom therefore prevail as you cultivate the habit of walking in the light by living by His word. The Psalmist said His word is a lamp unto my feet and light to my path.
Declare to yourself today that according to His word, your success in all areas of your life is guaranteed, fatness of favor and great blessings of the earth shall flood your path.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, let my spirit be opened to obeying your word and living a life of holiness.
