WALKING IN TRUTH … [HOLDING FAST TO APOSTOLIC TEACHINGS]
2 John.1:4
Walking in the truth is not an option for a child of God. It is a MUST! Jesus is the way, truth and life and no one comes to the Father except by Him. We have been commanded to walk in truth just like Patriarchs in the scriptures e.g. Abraham did and it was counted to him for righteousness.
Facts of life will always fail or be improved upon over time. Truth is for life. The word of God is truth. Don’t get too busy with the mundane issues of life that you forget to give adequate attention to teachings and doctrines that improve your growth in the things of God.
Your worship must be done in truth for it to become acceptable to God. It therefore means, it must come from a heart void of offense towards God and man. Sonorous voice and acrobatic display of affection for God without it coming from a heart filled with love for God is but a waste of time. In the realms of the supernatural, the purest form of representation is Spirits. [John 4:24 talks of the true and acceptable form of worship. i.e. it must come from your spirit and it must align with God’s word].
Are you one of those believers that wait until the next service in church to hear the word of God or you are that one that daily increase his/her word intake for ease of growth and maturity in the things of God? Don’t forget that, whatever you consume is what you’ll respond with in the day of adversity. There are no shortcuts to growth. What you consume [word intake] will determine the consumables [victories] of life you access or what consumes you [override your sense of judgment].
Life is a battle ground. It is either you are the one fighting or someone else is fighting on your behalf. Take time to grow yourself on basic teachings of faith, fruit of the spirit and living above the works of the flesh as stated in the book of Galatians chapter 5. Don’t ever get used to God’s word and assume that you don’t need to read and meditate on same, day and night. Your ultimate success in life depends on this. [Joshua 1:8].
PRAYER: Oh Lord, help me to walk in the light of your word. Let truth prevail in all my ways.
