WALKING WITH GOD
GENESIS 17:1
God said to Abraham: “I am the Almighty God; walk before me and be perfect (blameless”). The call to a blameless life is to all born-again Christians. It is a call to a life of commitment, righteousness and holiness. In simple terms, it means striving to please God in all you do. In case you make a mistake or sin, you have to:
– Humbly acknowledge your mistake
– Genuinely repent (be sorry for your mistake)
– Forsake (do not continue to engage in the wrong activity or behaviour)
If you follow carefully these steps whenever you make a mistake, your walk with God will be a blameless one. You will discover that you are evolving gradually, becoming more of who God wants you to be. If you permit God to work in you, you will become a much better person in character, habits and Christian values. The process is for every believer and goes on if we submit ourselves to the process outlined above.
There are believers/church goers who dodge this process. They remain unchanged though they have been in church for many years. This is not good.
MEDITATION: Philippians 2:15 “That you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in a crooked and perverse generation among whom you shone as lights in the world”
